Gun Salute on 7 February 2022 to mark Her Majesty’s accession to the throne 70 years ago

An extraordinarily beautiful day in London to mark the accession of Her Majesty the Queen’s accession to the throne on 6 February 1952 by the firing of a 41 gun salute in Green Park. After the latest rounds of the virus it was an extra joy for people to be able to gather to mark this special occasion and to share in this extraordinary moment in the nation’s history.
