High Sheriffs’ Association Nominations Ceremony
Held on 12th November at the RCJ (in Court 4), this annual HSA ceremony involves the reading out by the King’s Remembrancer, in front of the LCJ and other senior RCJ Judges, the list of all those people nominated for HS in the coming 3 years by county. After this is done, as HSGL I gave a vote of thanks to the LCJ on behalf of all those present, including incoming HSs now in Nomination and their friends and relatives and the equivalent for the next two ensuing years. These names will need to be read out again each year as they progress until they reach the top of the list, with the name of the current HS dropping off each time. Thereafter was a tea party at St Clement Danes church on the Strand, opposite the RCJ.
