HSGL’s Southwark Cathedral Legal Service of Thanksgiving

On 18th November all the senior Judiciary in London who were available assembled at the Cathedral, the traditional home of the HSGL’s Justice Service. The event began with a procession into the nave by many Judges, as every year, but with a large number of London Borough Mayors for the first time. There was one address, given by me, which covered the breadth of my role and what this meant in day to day terms, e.g the giving of awards. I also mentioned the new London charity I was founding to improve mental health in London prisons. This was followed by a brief reception.
